Carbon balancing festival travel with Energy Revolution

We’re working with UK charity Energy Revolution to tackle the environmental impacts from audience travel – these are typically the biggest contributor to an event’s carbon footprint, making up to 80% for the average festival in the UK! You can help us by making a £1 donation to balance your fossil fuel miles when you buy your ticket to Eat Drink Bristol Fashion - Energy Revolution will then invest 100% of your donation into projects that create clean renewable energy. If you missed the chance to do this when you got your ticket you can use Energy Revolution’s Travel Carbon Calculator to work out and balance your fossil fuel journey.

Energy Revolution works with over 55 of the UK’s favourite festivals, as well as artists and event suppliers. Since 2015 they have balanced over 13 million travel miles - donations have helped to power projects such as wind turbines in India with the Converging World and funded community solar power with Bristol Energy Co-op, in 2019 donations contributed to The School's Energy Co-op– a project that helps UK schools install solar panels as well as teaching the children about the benefits of clean energy. Read about all the projects here

VALUABLES & SAFETY

We recommend taking some easy steps to maximise your enjoyment of the day.

Keep money, mobile phones and cameras on your person at all times. If you suspect you have had something stolen, please check with the Information Tent to see if it has been handed in before reporting it to the police.

Make yourself aware of the location of the emergency exits, and follow any instructions given to you by security or stewards. In the unlikely event that you witness dangerous or antisocial behaviour move away and alert security if they are not already in the immediate vicinity.
